It's really amazing what you can do with technology these days and there's constantly things that surprise me about how far we've come.
Take, for instance, the area of GPS communication and photography, where it's now possible to mark the exact location where a photography was taken using a satellite that's orbiting the Earth. Thanks to Nokia Location Tagger you can now do just this on your Nokia N95, N82 or E90 with built-in GPS module, or using a GPS receiver.
Essentially, the program allows you to add the exact GPS location to the EXIF data of a photo. Thus, every time you take a photo using your phone's camera, the software will 'tag' its GPS location, so that anyone can see the precise point you were in the World when it was taken.
This is useful if you're sharing your snaps on sites like Flickr or Picasa. What's more, if you use Google Earth, you can track where the photos were taken on a map, ideal if you like to travel around a lot.
The app is remarkably simple to set up using the software's built-in camera application. An icon is displayed to indicate that GPS is running in the background, and you simply press the camera button on your device as normal. It's pretty reliable, although you won't be able to mark GPS data using a secondary camera device.
Nokia Location Tagger is ideal if you want to remember exactly where you've been, or if you're showing off holiday photos on Flickr.
